Bug reports, tool requests, corrections and business enquiries all go to the same place.
One person reads this, so expect a couple of days rather than a couple of hours. Everything gets read.
Reporting a bug
Bugs in browser-based tools are almost always specific to a browser, a file, or a device, so a report is much easier to act on with:
- which tool, and what you were trying to do;
- your browser and version, and whether it is a phone or a computer;
- what happened instead of what you expected;
- the file type and rough size, if a file was involved. Please do not attach the file itself — a description is enough, and sending it defeats the point of a site that never sees your files.
Requesting a tool
Requests genuinely shape what gets built next. The most useful ones describe the actual problem rather than the solution — "I keep having to make images under 2 MB for a government upload form" is far more actionable than "add an image tool".
The bar for building something: it has to work without an account, without an upload, and without a catch. If it cannot run in a browser, it does not belong here.
Corrections
The guides go stale. Software gets discontinued, free tiers get withdrawn, and a recommendation that was right last year can be wrong today. If something here is out of date or simply wrong, saying so is a favour — point at the specific claim and it will be fixed and re-dated.
Business and press
Advertising, partnership and press enquiries: same address, with a clear subject line.
Two things that are not available, so as not to waste your time: paid guest posts, and links inserted into existing articles for payment. The guides recommend what is actually good, which only works if the recommendations cannot be bought.
